On the night of May 12, 2026, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 216 shock UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas type and drones-imitators of the Parody type.
This was reported by the press center of the Air Force Command, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
How did our air defense work?
According to preliminary data, as of 09.30, 192 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type, imitation drones of the Parody type in the north, south, east and center of the country were shot down/suppressed by the air defense.
25 strike UAVs were hit at 10 locations, as well as the fall of downed (debris) at 5 locations.
“The attack continues, in the airspace of up to ten enemy UAVs. Follow the safety rules!,” – emphasize the Air Force.
Recall that this night, as a result of an attack in the Kyiv region, a drone hit a kindergarten, in the capital, fragments of a downed drone fell on a 16-story residential building. There are wounded and dead in several regions as a result of the Russian attack.
