In 2026, Ukraine updated the system of additional remuneration for frontline service members, which now includes base payments, zonal allowances, daily allowances for assault operations, and performance bonuses. The maximum amount of such monthly payments per soldier can reach 460,000 hryvnias. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The updated system of additional remuneration in the financial support of service members takes into account not only participation in combat operations, but also the nature of tasks, the place of their performance, and the level of risk. Base combat payments remain at 100,000, 50,000, and 30,000 hryvnias, accrued in proportion to the days tasks are performed. Specifically, the maximum 100,000 hryvnias are paid for direct participation in combat operations on the contact line and performing fire damage tasks against the enemy.
Starting from June 2026, zonal remuneration was added to the structure, with amounts depending on the distance from the combat contact line. The payment is 170,000 hryvnias for performing tasks at a distance up to and including a platoon stronghold, in temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, in the “grey” zone, and on enemy territory. Meanwhile, performing tasks at a distance up to a company stronghold is valued at 70,000 hryvnias.
Separately, daily allowances for active combat operations and performance bonuses have been introduced. In particular, an assault on the contact line or deep within enemy defense is set at 40,000 hryvnias, while restoring positions deep within one’s own defense is set at 20,000 hryvnias. In addition, combat performance bonuses provide 100,000 hryvnias for each captured enemy combatant and 15,000 hryvnias for each enemy eliminated in close combat with video confirmation.
Monthly combat payments per service member cannot exceed the limit of 460,000 hryvnias. This limit covers the combat participation amount, zonal remuneration, and daily allowances for assault operations. At the same time, base financial support, performance bonuses, and the lump-sum financial assistance for signing the first contract are not subject to this limit.
