Prices for staple products in Silpo, ATB, Novus and Auchan supermarkets as of September 1

The biggest price adjustments were recorded in the Silpo chain due to promotional offers

Ukrainian retail chains have updated price tags for essential food items at the beginning of September. As of September 1, major supermarkets show price stability for most items, although some products have become more affordable due to discounts. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Марія Кучерявець), according to the portal PromPolitInform.

The Silpo chain recorded noticeable changes in the cost of certain goods. Specifically, the price for Premia refined oil (0.5 L) dropped to 52.99 UAH, while Sytiy Dvir category C2 eggs are offered at 41.99 UAH per dozen. The cost of a kilogram of Premia buckwheat groats is currently 54.99 UAH.

Staple goods costs across chains

Prices for key products at ATB, Novus, and Auchan largely remained at the August 31 level. In the ATB chain, the promotional price for Krystynopil toast bread is 20.90 UAH, and 2.5% Shchodennyi Zbir milk (450 g) costs 21.30 UAH. Meanwhile, at Novus, Ukrainian bread costs 25.79 UAH, and a liter of Marka Promo milk is priced at 48.99 UAH.

At Auchan, the lowest price for 0.5 L refined oil is 49.40 UAH. Category C1 chicken eggs in this chain are sold at 4.40 UAH per piece. Despite overall price stability, retailers continue to adjust the cost of individual items as part of marketing campaigns, allowing customers to choose cheaper options depending on the chain.
