The enemy attack damaged 20 apartments in a residential high-rise
The number of casualties from a Russian strike on Odesa during the night of September 2–3 has risen to 17 people. Among the wounded are three young children. This was reported by npu.gov.ua citing Viddil Komunikatsii Politsii Odeshchyny, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Russian military forces launched an attack on the city’s civilian infrastructure on the night of September 3. The enemy strike hit a 21-story residential building.
As a result of the hit, 20 apartments located from the 10th to the 17th floors of the building were damaged. Vehicles parked nearby also suffered destruction.
Consequences of the Russian strike on residential areas
Police officers continue to work at the scene. Law enforcement officials are documenting the consequences of another war crime committed by Russia, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
Police are maintaining public order at the location and providing necessary assistance to affected residents. Information on the total number of victims is currently being updated.
Law enforcement appeals to residents
Citizens are once again urged not to ignore air raid alerts and to immediately head to shelters. People should remain there until the danger has officially passed.
Additionally, specialists remind the public of the danger of approaching suspicious objects or debris. If any are found, emergency services should be contacted at 101, 102, or 112.
