Ukraine changes strategy: the war is gradually moving to the territory of the Russian Federation, – Deputy Minister of Defense

Ukraine is gradually transferring the war to the territory of Russia, and air alarms are already heard throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. Recently, more than 250 air objects were recorded in the Moscow region, which were aimed at the military infrastructure of the aggressor country.

This was announced in a comment to Ukrinform  by Deputy Minister of Defense Alexei Vyskub, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

“Ukraine is gradually transferring the war to the territory of Russia, systematically hitting the military infrastructure of the aggressor. In response, the Kremlin, in its usual manner, hysterically and chaotically tries to hit civilian targets in Ukraine,” Vyskub said.

He recalled that recently a number of key objects of the Russian military industry and the chemical industry, which ensure the production of missiles, drones and explosives, have been hit. In particular, Ukraine attacked the Silicon El plant in Bryansk. Currently, the plant where components for missiles and drones were produced is considered beyond repair.

“There are only two such plants in Russia,” the deputy minister said.

He also noted that the most distant blow was inflicted on the Metafrax Chemicals chemical industry enterprise at a distance of more than 1,500 km from Ukraine in the Perm Territory.

The deputy minister noted that while the world’s attention is focused on events in the Middle East, air alarms are heard throughout almost the entire territory of Russia.

“While the world’s attention is focused on the events in the Middle East, something else remains almost unnoticed: air alarms are almost constantly heard throughout the territory of the Russian Federation, even Moscow has been under constant attack by Ukrainian drones for two days. The city authorities are forced to admit this. The channel of the mayor of Moscow almost every 10 minutes reports on the “shooting down” or “interception” of Ukrainian UAVs,” he said.

Vyskub recalled that according to the statements of the Russian side, only in the last two days in the area of the capital of the Russian Federation there were more than 250 air objects aimed at military infrastructure, and of the four Moscow airports, only Vnukovo actually works.

“The war that Russia brought to Ukraine is gradually returning home,” Vyskub concluded.

He noted the effective work of the Ukrainian air defense forces and recalled that since 2022, Russia has launched up to 50,000 Shahed drones across Ukraine. At the same time, the effectiveness of the Ukrainian air defense against them is 80-90%.

As Ukrinform reported, the Defense Forces of Ukraine in January – February hit 13 objects of the oil and gas complex in the territory of the Russian Federation.

On March 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched successful air-launched Storm Shadow missiles at the Bryansk Silicon El microelectronics plant.

The plant specializes in discrete semiconductor technology and integrated circuits, which are used in modern weapons. In particular, in Iskander missiles, the flight range of which is up to 500 km.

On March 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the Maykop airfield in the Republic of Adygea (Russia).
