Ukrainian military intelligence specialists found an Nvidia Jetson microcomputer in the new Russian S-71 “monokhrom” cruise missile. This may indicate the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into enemy weapons. This was reported by gur.gov.ua, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Experts identified the Nvidia Jetson Orin computer module while examining weapons samples from the Russian army. The presence of this component points to the likely use of artificial intelligence in the newest S-71 “monokhrom” air-launched cruise missile.
The updated information was published on the War&Sanctions portal in a dedicated section featuring 35 electronic components identified in enemy armaments. These include units of the passive radar homing head for “geran-2” unmanned aerial vehicles designed to target Ukrainian surface-to-air missile systems and radar stations.
Research on captured equipment continues to block the supply of foreign components to Russia.
Experts also examined the Chinese Honpho TS130C-01 camera from a “geran-4” jet-powered UAV and elements of the guidance head for the Kh-47M2 “kinzhal” aeroballistic missile. Research activities are conducted jointly with specialized state scientific institutions to determine the origin of the microchips.
The gathered data helps international partners cut off channels supplying critical technologies to the aggressor state. Two years of operation by the portal demonstrate Russia’s continued inability to fully replace high-tech foreign components with domestic alternatives.
