Ukraine has nearly doubled the number of strikes on Russian territory using domestically produced Flamingo cruise missiles over a six-month period. According to data from the enemy's ministry of defence, at least 57 such munitions have been reported destroyed since June, compared to 31 between February and May.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Юлія Маловічко) citing Ahentstvo, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
An analysis of reports from the adversary’s defence agency demonstrates a substantial increase in the intensity of Ukrainian-manufactured weaponry deployment. Over the past two weeks alone, the occupation forces reported intercepting at least 25 such missiles.
Production facilities are becoming priority targets for long-range weaponry
During the summer period, at least four successful strikes were recorded against targets within the Russian military-industrial complex. These include an attack on the Progress Rocket and Space Centre in Samara carried out on the night of August 15.
Earlier, strikes hit the Titan-Barricades enterprise in Volgograd and the Vyatka Machine-Building Enterprise AVITEK in Kirov. The deployment of this weaponry in those operations was previously confirmed by the head of state and the manufacturer Fire Point.
Flamingo is transforming into the primary means for striking strategic targets
Official authorities in Ukraine do not disclose the exact volumes of this weaponry utilised during combat missions. Meanwhile, analysts note that such long-range systems are gradually acquiring the status of primary assets for strikes at extended distances, given the declared operational range of up to 3,000 kilometres.
