Russian representative Kirill Dmitriev is heading to the United States of America for negotiations with Donald Trump's team. The trip is scheduled for Wednesday and will take place in New York. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Катерина Коваль) citing Reuters, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The trip of the Russian envoy was personally approved by Vladimir Putin. The preparation process for the negotiations was coordinated at the highest level in the Kremlin.

The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Among the participants from the American side are Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
This visit is a continuation of previous contacts between the Kremlin and American representatives that took place earlier this month. The main stated goal of the trip is to maintain dialogue and peace settlement efforts.

Earlier, the Kremlin had already expressed its intention to resume trilateral negotiations regarding Ukraine with the participation of the United States. However, no actual progress has been recorded in this direction so far.
Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov previously stated expectations for a new trilateral meeting. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that Moscow saw positive signals in the American approach to the peace process.
