American drone startup Powerus is preparing to merge with Aureus Greenway Holdings with backing from the American Ventures investment fund, associated with Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. The company plans to integrate Ukrainian developments to supply the Pentagon and expand manufacturing in the US. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Олена Бджола) citing Reuters, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
American startup Powerus seeks to meet the growing demands of the US defense department through a combination of domestic manufacturing, acquisitions, and international partnerships. Company leadership aims to transport foreign military developments to the United States for subsequent production on American soil. Company President Brett Velicovich strives to turn the structure into a single-source solution for military needs.
Talks with Ukrainian developers
The organization is holding consultations with Ukrainian manufacturers in the field of defense technologies to integrate advanced solutions. Among priority areas, attracting capabilities for manufacturing long-range strike drones is being considered. In March, the enterprise presented Guardian interceptors, which leadership described as the result of joint work with Ukrainian specialists.
Financial metrics and contracts
The startup was registered in October of last year and at the beginning of 2026 had no operational activity, yet its sales for the first quarter reached 1.2 million dollars. Recently, the structure secured an agreement with the US Air Force worth up to 90 million dollars. A commercial contract valued at 22.3 million dollars to protect infrastructure in the Middle East has also been signed.
