The case involves 776 million hryvnias moved through shell companies
Detectives from the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine are investigating potential tax evasion by the management of Chornomorsk Fishing Port LLC. According to investigators, the enterprise may have concealed 12.09 million hryvnias in VAT through sub-lease manipulations. This was reported by Intent, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Investigative actions are being conducted under a ruling by the Khadzhybeiskyi District Court issued on October 7, 2026. Law enforcement officers are analyzing the company’s business transactions from 2024–2025. It was determined that the company failed to report income from sub-leasing services in its tax returns, leading to a budget shortfall of over 12 million hryvnias.
Capital flow through shell entities
Detectives paid particular attention to transactions from the fishing port to Zbruch Plus Invest Company LLC. According to bank records, 268 million hryvnias were transferred as additional contributions to authorized capital. However, checks revealed that no actual increase in capital occurred, suggesting that the funds were likely diverted from the economic turnover for cashing out.
Simultaneously, 508.29 million hryvnias passed through Zbruch Plus Invest Company LLC from Rivneazot PrJSC. The total volume of suspicious transactions under investigation stands at 776.29 million hryvnias. These funds were transferred to various firms, including Greta Center, Barkad Pro, Avalant, Belinda, and the financial company Prosti Rishennia.
Signs of illegal activity
Law enforcement officials discovered that the primary financial entity used for these transfers was registered at a mass registration address. The company had no employees, no fixed assets, and declared no income to tax authorities.
As part of the criminal proceedings, investigators are checking for the involvement of specific individuals in the scheme. During a search on September 29, a mobile phone was seized, which the court later ordered to be held as physical evidence in the case regarding tax evasion and potential money laundering.
