In addition to drones, Britain also confirmed the supply of hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of missiles for air defense systems.
The UK will give Ukraine at least 120 thousand drones in 2026 – this is the largest package of drones that London has provided since the beginning of a full-scale war, according to a press release from the British Ministry of Defense, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
The new aid package was announced by Secretary of Defense John Healey.
The package includes long-range strike drones, reconnaissance drones, logistics UAVs and naval means that have already been tested in combat conditions in Ukraine.
Deliveries, according to the British Ministry of Defense, have already begun this month.
“This year we provide Ukraine with the largest number of drones in history,” Gili said.
In addition to drones, Britain also confirmed the supply of hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of missiles for air defense systems.
The total amount of British military assistance to Ukraine in 2026 is 3 billion pounds.
London said much of the funding would go to British companies Tekever, Windracers and Malloy Aeronautics, which would also create new jobs in the UK.
The new package was announced amid the growing role of drones in the war: in March alone, Russia launched about 6,500 strike drones in Ukraine.
