The maximum amount of preferential lending for Ukrainian weapons manufacturers has been increased fivefold
The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision to expand the state support program for the domestic defense industry. Limits on preferential loans for enterprises involved in the execution of defense contracts have been increased. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The adopted changes are aimed at significantly scaling up production capacities and increasing the output of weaponry necessary to meet the needs of the defense forces on the frontline. The initiative aims to provide additional financial resources to Ukrainian manufacturers of military equipment and ammunition.
Funding for Defense Enterprises
The maximum amount of preferential lending for business entities operating in the defense-industrial sector has increased fivefold. While the previous limit was 100 million UAH, this figure has now reached 500 million UAH.
The raised funds are directed toward ensuring the current working capital of enterprises. All manufacturers involved in the execution of state defense contracts gain access to this financing.
Loan Terms and Conditions
Preferential rates within the range of 5-10% per annum have been established for defense sector enterprises, depending on the total volume of the loan raised. At the same time, investment loans directed toward the development and modernization of production facilities will be provided at 5% per annum.
The practical implementation of the program will be carried out by the National Development Institution. Financing is allocated within the framework of expenditures already provided for in the current state budget of Ukraine.
